ANNA SLOBODA

Managing Director

Anna is a mining entrepreneur and business leader with over 20 years of experience in operational management, financial planning, risk management, and investment advisory in a variety of industries and geographies. Anna is also a founding principal of Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd, where she was responsible for strategic planning and marketing of the company, securing strategic commercial agreements with Chinese steel mills.

Anna has previously held a number of senior financial roles in top tier international and Australian corporations, including Deloitte, Merck KGaA in Germany, Lehman Brothers in Luxembourg, Clough Ltd, and the Curtin University of Technology in Australia.

Anna is a non-executive Director of Elixir Energy Ltd (EXR), an emerging leader in gas exploration with projects in Mongolia. Anna is a passionate philanthropist and contributes to the community in her capacity of non-executive Director at Bluebird Mental Health Inc. as well as an Advisory Committee Member, Maritime Archeology, at the Western Australian Museum.

DR. JAYSON MEYERS

Chief Geologist

Dr. Jayson Meyers is an accomplished academic and industry leader with a focus on geology, geophysics and geochemistry. Jayson has worked with gold, manganese, iron, base metals, industrial metals, coal and diamond resources in many countries including extensive work in Asia, Oceania, America as well as East and West Africa, with a global understanding of geology. Jayson is currently a principal and a Director at Resource Potentials Pty Ltd, with past roles including Sinosteel, Great Central Mines Group and other mining companies in a senior geotechnical capacity. His previous directorships include Managing Director and non-executive director roles for Alloy Resources Ltd.

Jayson holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from California State University, Masters of Science in Geochemistry and a Doctorate of Marine Geology and Geophysics from the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine Science. Jayson has also been published in a variety of exploration and geology journals, has lectured at the University of Papua New Guinea, and holds the position of Associate Professor of Exploration Geophysics at Curtin University’s WA School of Mines, Australia.

PAUL
VERMEULEN

Chief Metallurgist

Paul is a recognised technical expert in the field of steel making, mining, beneficiation, and bulk logistics. Paul has managed the design and testing of offshore mineral resources processing and beneficiation for Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd, as well as the exploration and supervision of the world’s first three JORC classifications of an offshore mineral resource to Indicated and Inferred status. He is also an expert in steel making and managed for over eleven years the ArcelorMittal Newcastle blast furnace in South Africa. Previous roles include senior technical roles at Rio Tinto Iron Ore and General Manager blast furnace at ArcelorMittal (South Africa).

Paul is currently holding a position of Regional Director Australasia at Hatch. Previously held a number of senior leadership and general management positions at Rio Tinto Iron Ore, ArcelorMittal and Associate at McKinsey and Co. Paul also serves as a non-executive Director at Bluebird Mental Health Inc.

RICHARD PRICE

Chief Engineer

Richard is an experienced mining engineer with 12 years of mining experience gained in a number of projects in Australia, following several years with BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto Iron Ore with the focus on the development of engineering solutions for project expansion and capital costs optimization. Following the completion of a Masters in Mineral Economics, Richard led the Mining and Metals team of Standard Chartered Bank in Perth, London, and Singapore providing expert advice on mineral assets valuation and project feasibility.

Richard holds a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from Curtin University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) of Western Australian School of Mines. Richard is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM).
